We are looking for a skilled Locum Physician to provide expert wound management services at Batavia's premier healthcare facility. What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive wound care including treatment of vascular, pressure, diabetic, and traumatic wounds
- Assess, diagnose, and manage complex skin conditions and wounds across various healing stages
- Implement advanced therapies such as bioengineered skin, hyperbaric oxygen, skin grafting, and negative pressure wound therapy
- Educate patients and their support systems on wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and optimal healing practices
- Supervise hyperbaric oxygen treatments and oversee post-surgical wound management
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and execute individualized care plans aimed at promoting healing and preventing future wounds
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license to practice locally
- Proven expertise in wound care management, including experience with complex ulcers and acute wounds
- Proficiency in EMRs, specifically Epic, for documentation and patient tracking
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy and advanced wound treatments
- Familiarity with skin grafting, tissue debridement, and advanced wound closure techniques
- Previous experience working in outpatient wound clinics or hospital settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or specialization in wound care, dermatology, or related fields
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in wound management
Other Requirements:
- Ability to obtain temporary privileges with our facility
- Willingness to travel and work at the Batavia location during the specified coverage dates (12/22/2025 - 03/31/2026)
