Are you a skilled radiologist looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity? We are seeking an experienced Locum Physician specializing in Radiology to provide exceptional imaging services at Wooster Community Hospital. This vital role offers the chance to work remotely in a high-volume emergency department environment, covering diverse modalities and subspecialties while making a real difference in patient care.
What You'll Do:
- Interpret a wide range of imaging, including XR, CT, MR, US, and NM, with a focus on high-volume ED coverage.
- Read all CT scans (excluding CT Cardiac), with emphasis on stroke and perfusion studies.
- Manage subspecialty case mix comprising approximately 80% ER, 20% MSK, and 10% Neuro cases.
- Cover stroke and perfusion cases, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses in a fast-paced setting.
- Collaborate seamlessly with a dedicated healthcare team, delivering top-tier radiological support remotely.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license with Board Certification in Radiology.
- Proven experience in high-volume ED radiology, with the ability to read all modalities except CT Cardiac.
- Proficiency in stroke/perfusion protocols and a thorough understanding of emergency imaging demands.
- Strong technical skills, including familiarity with MERGE imaging systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with high-volume ER radiology cases.
- Additional subspecialty training in MSK or Neuro radiology.
- Familiarity with advanced imaging interpretation software.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of post-residency experience in emergency or acute care radiology.
- Prior remote radiology work is highly advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts, covering 90-100 cases per day, with a compensation rate of $19.50 per hour plus bill rate considerations.
- Must include malpractice coverage in compensation package.
- Willingness to participate in a weekly pay schedule with direct deposit, licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursable expenses as applicable.
