Overview
Provide vital radiation oncology services in a single-provider practice supported by a dedicated team of three RNs and a secretary. Engage with patients through scheduled clinic visits, managing urgent consults, follow-ups, and on-treat patients, all within a well-equipped facility featuring two TrueBeam linear accelerators and Siemens Go-Sim CT Simulator. This role offers stability, flexibility, and the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Required Skills
- Valid state medical licensure in Ohio
- Board-certified or eligible in Radiation Oncology
- Proven experience in radiation therapy procedures and patient management
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform all required procedures independently
- Maintain professional liability insurance with coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence / $3,000,000 annual aggregate
Nice to Have Skills
- Prior locum or temporary staffing experience
- Familiarity with TrueBeam linear accelerators and Siemens CT simulation
- Experience with outpatient clinic-based radiation oncology care
Preferred Education and Experience
- MD or DO degree with completion of accredited Radiation Oncology residency
- At least 2 years of clinical practice post-residency
- Previous locum assignment experience preferred but not required
Other Requirements
- Availability for the following vacation coverage periods:
- June 8-12, 2026 (preferred) or June 29 July 2, 2026
- August 3-7, 2026 or August 10-14, 2026
- October 26-30, 2026
- Ability to travel, with expenses reimbursed up to $1,000 for airfare and rental car or mileage
- Willingness to undergo background checks and provide references
- Provide at least two professional references, including recent locum assignments if applicable
- Maintain continuous malpractice coverage with individual limits meeting the specified requirements
