Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Primary Care Physician to provide locum coverage at St. Anthony Hospital. This role is vital in ensuring consistent, high-quality care for patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. With a commitment to excellence, you will work within a supportive team, maintaining continuity of care and adherence to established protocols in a busy outpatient setting. The assignment promises a rewarding experience, offering competitive hourly compensation and an array of benefits.

Required Skills
  • Valid medical license to practice in Oregon
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Proven experience in primary care, including routine procedures
  • Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with eClinicalworks EMR system
  • Flexibility to work Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • Capable of handling 17-20 patient encounters daily

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience performing primary care procedures, including circumcisions
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows in rural or community hospital settings
  • Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
  • Basic understanding of travel reimbursements and documentation

Preferred Education and Experience
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior primary care or family medicine experience
  • Previous locum or outpatient clinic work preferred

Other Requirements
  • Willingness to work full-time from Tuesday to Friday
  • Credentialing completed prior to start date
  • Ability to provide consistent coverage for up to 12 months
  • Optional travel arrangements including flights (up to $750), lodging, a rental car, and mileage reimbursement
  • Must be available to start as soon as credentialed

Compensation for this role is highly competitive, with hourly rates ranging from $200 to $220, plus additional for orientation and holiday coverage. The position offers excellent benefits, including weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage, paid sick leave, and reimbursed travel expenses when applicable.
