Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist in Springfield, MO
Are you a dedicated OB Hospitalist seeking an impactful temporary position? We invite experienced physicians to provide vital care in a dynamic hospital setting where your expertise will directly enhance patient outcomes. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work with a high-volume obstetrics service, including NICU Level 3 care, and handle gynecological emergencies as needed, making a real difference in families' lives.
Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid and current medical license to practice in Missouri or eligible for licensure
- Proven experience managing obstetric cases in a hospital environment
- Strong clinical judgment and bedside manner
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations with composure and efficiency
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in high-risk obstetrics and NICU care
- Previous work as a locum or temporary physician
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical settings
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited U.S. medical school
- Minimum of 3 years of obstetric practice, including management of high-volume obstetrics units
- Prior experience working with Level 3 NICU settings is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start on 12/31/2025
- Ability to work flexible hours, including call shifts
- Travel reimbursement and license/certification support provided when applicable
- Compliance with all hospital, state, and federal healthcare regulations
