Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist (Rockwall, TX)

Required Skills:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN or Family Medicine with obstetrics experience
  • Valid State medical license in Texas or the ability to obtain one
  • Current DEA certification and ACLS/PALS certifications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in obstetric emergencies and labor management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior locum or hospitalist experience
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Familiarity with hospital protocols and obstetric procedures
  • Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish, are advantageous

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in obstetrics or hospital-based practice
  • Prior experience providing obstetric care in a hospital setting preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to start on or around December 31, 2025
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
  • Clean malpractice history; hospital can provide expedited privileges for qualified applicants
  • Must comply with all state and federal healthcare regulations
