Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OB Hospitalist to join our team on a locum basis starting December 31, 2025. You will be central to delivering exceptional obstetric and gynecologic care, managing approximately 13+ patient encounters daily, including OB triage, unassigned GYN emergencies, and deliveries. The role encompasses collaboration with hospital-employed CNMs and APCs, ensuring comprehensive patient management in a fast-paced environment. With access to Meditech Expanse EMR and a supportive 24/7 team, you’ll have the resources and autonomy needed to excel while practicing in a scenic setting that offers both professional fulfillment and quality of life.
Required Skills:
- Valid Missouri medical license and current BLS, ACLS certifications
- Board certification or eligibility in OB-GYN or Family Medicine with OB experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in obstetric emergency care, including deliveries and triage
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to handle high-volume patient encounters efficiently
- Experience working with EMR systems, preferably Meditech Expanse
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience as a hospitalist or in a similar high-acuity setting
- Familiarity with GYN emergencies and labor management
- Bilingual abilities or additional languages
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- At least 2 years of relevant obstetric hospitalist experience
- Previous work within hospital or healthcare systems utilizing Meditech EMR
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work shifts including nights, weekends, and on-call duties
- Eligibility for Missouri medical licensure and applicable privileges
- Ability to travel to and work at Osage Beach location as scheduled
