Required Skills:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Virginia
- Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN
- Proven experience in obstetric inpatient care and hospitalist services
- Exceptional clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage emergent gyn and OB cases efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with OB hospitalist models or in high-volume delivery hospitals
- Knowledge of Level 3B NICU operations
- Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from accredited medical school
- At least 2 years of hospitalist OB experience
- Prior work in a Level 3B NICU environment preferred
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start on 02/01/2026
- Commitment to providing emergent gyn care as needed
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with established backup support from other OBs, GYNs, and ER physicians
- Meeting all state and federal licensure, certification, and credentialing requirements
