Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Baytown, TX

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated OB Hospitalist for a temporary assignment starting December 31, 2025. As a key provider within our hospital, you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care to obstetric patients, manage deliveries, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position offers flexibility, competitive compensation, and the chance to broaden your professional expertise.

Required Skills:

  • Valid medical license in Texas or eligibility for licensure
  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Proven clinical experience in obstetric care and hospitalist services
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload effectively

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience in a hospitalist or locum tenens setting
  • Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish, to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations
  • Experience with high-risk obstetrics management

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of obstetrics practice, preferably in hospital or inpatient settings
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Active Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure

Other Requirements:
  • Must hold or be eligible for relevant state medical licenses and certifications
  • Travel reimbursement and licensure expenses covered when applicable
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and on-call shifts

Hourly Pay Rate: $195.00
