About the Role:
As a Locum OB/GYN at Longmont United Hospital, you will be integral to managing emergency GYN cases and OB deliveries, including C-sections, in a Level III Trauma Center setting. You will work closely with a supportive team of nurses and staff, utilizing the EPIC EMR system, to ensure seamless patient care during your shifts. This position offers flexible scheduling with 24-hour call shifts, giving you a chance to balance your professional responsibilities with personal time.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with proficiency in handling emergencies and performing C-sections.
- Ability to work 24-hour shifts and adapt to variable scheduling needs.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Skills That Are a Plus:
- Prior experience with Epic EMR system.
- Previous work in Level III Trauma or similar high-acuity setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient needs.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Active Colorado State Medical License or IMLC multi-state license.
- Minimum of 2 years post-residency OB/GYN practice experience preferred.
- Credentialing proficiency with facilities like LUH and SAN is advantageous.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work scheduled 24-hour call shifts on specific dates in June and July.
- Successful completion of EMR training, including modules and virtual training prior to start.
- Ability to stay at designated lodging (Hampton Inn) and adhere to travel policies.
- Must pass credentialing requirements, including background checks and licensure verification.
