Longmont United Hospital is actively seeking a skilled Locum Physician to provide vital coverage for emergent GYN and OB deliveries during a key period from May through July 2026. About the Role:
As a Locum OB/GYN at Longmont United Hospital, you will be integral to managing emergency GYN cases and OB deliveries, including C-sections, in a Level III Trauma Center setting. You will work closely with a supportive team of nurses and staff, utilizing the EPIC EMR system, to ensure seamless patient care during your shifts. This position offers flexible scheduling with 24-hour call shifts, giving you a chance to balance your professional responsibilities with personal time.

What You Bring:
  • Proven experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with proficiency in handling emergencies and performing C-sections.
  • Ability to work 24-hour shifts and adapt to variable scheduling needs.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Skills That Are a Plus:
  • Prior experience with Epic EMR system.
  • Previous work in Level III Trauma or similar high-acuity setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient needs.

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Active Colorado State Medical License or IMLC multi-state license.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-residency OB/GYN practice experience preferred.
  • Credentialing proficiency with facilities like LUH and SAN is advantageous.

Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to work scheduled 24-hour call shifts on specific dates in June and July.
  • Successful completion of EMR training, including modules and virtual training prior to start.
  • Ability to stay at designated lodging (Hampton Inn) and adhere to travel policies.
  • Must pass credentialing requirements, including background checks and licensure verification.
