365 Healthcare is seeking a Fellowship-Trained Neurointerventionalist for a locum tenens opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa. This hospital-based assignment focuses on 24-hour thrombectomy call coverage within a high-volume comprehensive stroke program. Competitive compensation, malpractice coverage, and travel and lodging coverage are provided.
The facility is seeking providers able to cover up to 14 shifts per month, with ongoing opportunities available.
• Hospital-based, inpatient only
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities
• 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Continuous pager call with callback responsibilities
• Up to 14 shifts per month available
• Ongoing coverage opportunities available
• High-volume comprehensive stroke program
• Approximately 1,000 stroke patients annually
• Approximately 165 mechanical thrombectomies annually
• Epic EMR
• Nine neurologists on staff
• Dedicated Interventional Radiology support team
• Hospital-based neurovascular service
• No teaching responsibilities
• Provide 24-hour thrombectomy call coverage
• Perform emergent mechanical thrombectomies for acute ischemic stroke
• Respond to stroke alerts and urgent callback cases
• Manage inpatient neurovascular emergencies
• Perform image-guided neurovascular interventions
• Collaborate with neurology and interventional radiology teams
• Deliver timely, evidence-based stroke care
Physicians should be comfortable performing:
• Mechanical thrombectomy
• Acute ischemic stroke intervention
• Image-guided neurovascular procedures
• Endovascular stroke treatment
• Emergency neurovascular interventions
• Nine neurologists
• Dedicated Interventional Radiology team
• Advanced imaging capabilities
• Onsite laboratory and pharmacy services
• Collaborative multidisciplinary stroke program
• Fellowship Trained in Interventional Radiology (IR) or Interventional Neuroradiology/Neurology (INR)
• Ability to independently perform mechanical thrombectomies
• Active Iowa license or active IMLC with LOQ
• Ability to specify available shifts per month
• Clean malpractice and background history
• Current NPDB Self-Query
