Join Our Team as a Locum Neonatologist in Southfield, MI – Make a Meaningful Impact on NICU Care!
Are you a dedicated neonatologist seeking a rewarding opportunity to provide top-tier care in a dynamic hospital setting? Henry Ford Providence Southfield is looking for skilled Locum physicians to support our Level 3 NICU, helping us deliver exceptional neonatal services during a crucial period of staffing transition. What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology with fellowship training in Neonatology.
- Current BLS, NRP certifications.
- Valid Michigan medical license in hand (no licensing delays) and credentialed with Henry Ford, with a timeframe of approximately 90-120 days.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced NICU environment, managing multiple admissions and complex cases including attending C-sections and neonatal transfers.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills suited for high-pressure scenarios in a Level 3 NICU.
Nice to Have Skills & Experiences:
- Previous experience in a Level 3 NICU setting.
- Comfortable working with Cerner/Ecare/PowerChart documentation systems.
- Experience with in-house call shifts, night coverage, and managing neonatal transports.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Neonatology fellowship training completed.
- Prior NICU experience and familiarity with high-acuity neonatal intensive care.
Additional Requirements:
- Coverage Dates starting from May 10, 2026, with multiple shifts through June 2026, including ongoing night shifts.
- In-house call from 7 pm to 7 am.
- Willingness to work temp assignments with reimbursement for mileage only.
- No travel or miscellaneous reimbursements for licensing or credentialing fees.
