Join Our Team as a Locum Physician – Hematology & Oncology in Pontiac, MI
Embark on a vital role providing specialized outpatient Hematology and Oncology care through a reputable healthcare organization. This locum position offers the opportunity to support McLaren Oakland during a critical recruitment period, ensuring continuity of care for patients in need of expert oncology and hematology services. Required Skills:
- Proven expertise in Hematology and Oncology outpatient care
- Skilled in managing oncology and hematology outpatient clinic patients
- Ability to participate actively in tumor board discussions
- Proficiency with the Cerner EMR system
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle clinic call responsibilities effectively
- Experience with infusion centers, CBCs, and relevant procedures
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working with tumor boards
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary oncology teams
- Familiarity with outpatient infusion and laboratory services
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
- At least 2 years of relevant outpatient clinical experience
- Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred
Other Requirements:
- Active medical license to practice in Michigan
- Reliable transportation for local travel
- Willingness to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Participation in clinic call as needed
- Valid certifications including DEA as required
