Required Skills:
- Board-certified or eligible in Hematology and Oncology
- Valid medical license in Michigan or eligible for licensure
- Proven experience in outpatient Hematology and Oncology care
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient management abilities
- Competency with EMR systems, preferably Cerner
- Ability to participate effectively in tumor board discussions
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in an outpatient clinic setting with multidisciplinary teams
- Prior experience with infusion centers and in-office procedures
- Familiarity with tumor board participation and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of residency and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology
- Minimum of 2 years of outpatient clinic experience in Hematology/Oncology
Other Requirements:
- Coverage is scheduled from January 19, 2026, to July 31, 2026
- Availability to work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, including clinic call as needed
- Participation in tumor board meetings and outpatient procedures
- Reliable transportation for local travel; mileage and related travel expenses capped at $150 (including taxes)
- Ability to work with the clinic's support team, including oncology nurses, medical assistants, social workers, dietitians, and nurse navigators
