Bon Secours - St. Ritas in Lima, Ohio, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physician to provide exceptional outpatient care in a vibrant cancer center. In this vital position, you'll cover outpatient hematology and oncology services, managing adult and geriatric patient needs, participating in tumor board discussions, and overseeing treatment plans, including chemotherapy administration alongside our Nurse Oncologist. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in a supportive environment with no overnight or weekend on-call duties.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Ohio or ability to obtain one
- Board-certified or Board-eligible in Hematology and Oncology
- Experience in outpatient hematology-oncology care
- Strong diagnostic and clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with chemotherapy administration
- Prior work in a Level II Trauma Center or similar setting
- Participation in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in outpatient oncology
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing estimated at 120 days
- Ability to work Monday-Wednesday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with no on-call or weekend commitments
- Willingness to travel for credentialing or meeting requirements as needed
- Reimbursement for travel expenses such as flights, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rate
