365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum opportunity in Dyersville, Iowa. This assignment offers in-house emergency coverage in a critical access hospital with low patient volume and strong support staff, ideal for providers seeking a manageable pace and consistent scheduling.

Schedule Model

• 24-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Occasional 12-hour shifts
• Minimum 3 shifts per pay period
• In-house coverage (sleep room available)
• Weekend coverage as needed

Coverage Needed

• May – June coverage blocks available
• Flexible scheduling based on provider availability
• Ongoing coverage opportunities

Practice Overview

• Critical Access Hospital setting
• Average 4 ED patients per day
• Average 4 inpatient census
• 3-bed Emergency Department
• 20 inpatient beds
• EMR: Epic (TogetherCare)

Clinical Scope

• Emergency department coverage
• Inpatient responsibilities including observation and acute care
• Broad-spectrum emergency care in a rural hospital setting

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat emergency department patients
• Manage low-volume ED cases and inpatient admissions
• Provide comprehensive emergency care across all ages
• Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff
• Ensure timely patient stabilization and disposition

Practice Environment

• Low-volume, manageable patient load
• Strong nursing support (2 RNs per shift)
• Additional support staff including CNA
• Access to lab, imaging, and pharmacy services
• Quiet, community-based hospital setting

Qualifications

• Board Certified (ABEM or FP/IM with recent EM experience)
• Active Iowa medical license
• Ability to cover available shifts
• Clean malpractice and background history
• NPDB Self-Query report required
