Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - Cardiothoracic Surgery | PRN | Lexington, KY.

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a PRN locum opportunity at a leading hospital in Lexington, KY. This role offers ongoing coverage with a predictable call schedule and the opportunity to work alongside a skilled surgical team.

Position Highlights:

Schedule: 1 weekend/month (24-hour call: 7AM-7AM) + ongoing PTO/vacation coverage.
Urgent Dates: June 6-8 (critical need), plus May 31-June 13 & July 20-26.
Setting: Inpatient / OR.
EMR: Epic.
Ongoing opportunity for consistent future coverage.

Clinical Responsibilities:

First assist in cardiothoracic surgery.
Vein harvesting, chest tube placement, and perioperative care.
Provide surgical support to CT surgeons.

Requirements:

Active Kentucky PA license (required).
Board Certified.
ACLS, BLS, DEA required.
Ability to perform CT surgery procedures independently.
NPDB self-query (within 30 days) required at submission.
Clean malpractice history preferred.

Additional Details:

Credentialing: 90-110 days (must be eligible).
Travel details must be disclosed at submission.
