Job Description:
McLaren Northern Michigan, a top-tier health system in Petoskey, MI, is actively seeking a Certified Hospitalist Physician Assistant to cover starting June 9, 2026, with a schedule of 7 days on/7 days off.
Details:
- Practice Setting: Hospital call
- Coverage Dates: June 9, 2026 - January 1, 2027
- Shift: 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM (7 on/7 off)
- Reason for Coverage: Recruitment Gap
- Patients per Day: Variable inpatient service
- Support Staff: APP coverage during nighttime hospitalist coverage with Nocturnist Physician
- Current EHR: Cerner
- Expected Skills/Procedures: Adult Inpatient without ICU/CCU
Rates to Submit:
- Malpractice: Included in the rates
- Orientation: 1/2 of hourly rate
- Holiday (hourly)
- Overtime
- Conversion fee
- Reverse invoicing: Provider must use DocTime as of 7/1 to clock in and out
- Note: Do NOT reimburse Med Staff Fees
Additional Information:
- Lodging should not be booked through third-party websites (e.g., Expedia, Kayak)
- McLaren is tax-exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging
- Expenses covered by the client will adhere to the limitations in the Travel & Expense policy between McLaren Health Care & AHSA
