Job Description:
 

A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse to support a community-based vaccination initiative. The RN will be responsible for administering various vaccines, including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other recommended immunizations, while providing safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about preventive healthcare, patient education, and improving community health outcomes.

Work Schedule

  • Days: Sunday – Saturday
  • Shift: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Overtime: As needed based on operational requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer vaccines including Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other immunizations according to established protocols.
  • Perform patient screening and assessment prior to vaccine administration.
  • Monitor patients for potential reactions and provide appropriate follow-up care.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccines, benefits, possible side effects, and aftercare instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of immunizations and patient information.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Provide a positive, professional, and compassionate patient experience.
  • Adapt to changing healthcare needs and support a dynamic community healthcare environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where services are provided.
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience, including immunization and patient care experience.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical skills including medication administration and vaccine delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including weekends.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in vaccination clinics, retail health, urgent care, or community healthcare settings.
  • Experience administering multiple vaccine types.
  • Strong patient education and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality care standards.
