  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday
  • 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • 40 Hours per Week

Retail Pharmacy / Community Healthcare Clinic

 

Position Summary

The Immunizing Nurse will administer a variety of vaccines in a fast-paced retail clinic while ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. The role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting CVS Health's mission to improve community health.

PPE and all required clinical supplies are provided.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer vaccines including:
    • Influenza (Flu)
    • COVID-19
    • MMR
    • Hepatitis
    • Tdap
    • Shingles
    • RSV
    • Pneumonia
    • Other CDC-recommended immunizations
  • Assess patients prior to immunization.
  • Administer medications according to established clinical protocols.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccines, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions following immunization.
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation.
  • Follow infection prevention and PPE protocols.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Adapt to changing workflows and support business needs.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience, including immunization and patient care.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable administering vaccines throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work independently in a retail healthcare environment.
  • Flexible with work schedules as business needs require.
