Loan Support/Lock Desk Operations Support

We are seeking a temporary contractor to provide support for general Lock Desk operational functions. This role will work closely with Loan Officers and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely updates to customer loan data. Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with loan updates and lock changes in accordance with pricing and eligibility guidelines.
• Supporting the testing and validation of departmental changes to pricing and eligibility rules.
• Contributing to reporting and tracking efforts to maintain operational transparency and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of mortgage operations and the overall mortgage lifecycle. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Skills & Experience Required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Prior experience in the mortgage industry is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Sharp analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
• Experience with Empower, Encompass, or PollyEx is a plus

With a limited degree of supervision incumbents are responsible for providing clerical, analytical and operational support to the business functions within the organization such as filing and data entry.
Additionally, she / he may also assist with the generating of reports and provide insights to support decision making and business strategy's. Incumbents in this role act as a clerical support resource which can be utilized across any of the administrative functional areas at any time. Additionally, she / he may act as an informal resource for associates with less experience. Typically, they also perform nonsecretarial administrative tasks. Responsibilities: The incumbent is responsible for analyzing existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for data analysis and reporting, which includes identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization based on data trends. The incumbent is also responsible for documentation and communication, which entails developing and maintaining process documentation, standard operating procedures, and user manuals.
Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for issue resolution and support, which includes provide support and assistance to stakeholders and end users in resolving operational challenges. Lastly, the incumbent is responsible for engaging in continuous improvement, which includes monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented improvements and suggest adjustments as needed.
