Location: Lincoln, NE
The Loan Servicing Assistant follows established policies and procedures to provide loan servicing support to internal and external customers. They perform a variety of duties both clerical and technical; major responsibilities include loan file maintenance, researching complex issues, processing of loan payments, credit bureau reporting and escrow tax processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Daily processing/posting of payments made through mail, conducting research as needed
- Daily Fiserv input for all loan modifications, extensions, and renewals
- Serve as primary contact for credit bureau disputes and credit bureau corrections, Inputs credit bureau code changes, research and resolve credit disputes with E-Oscar with correspondence to customer as needed.
- Pulling of paid notes from file drawers for processing of releases
- Provide assistance on loan servicing inquiries and questions from internal and external customers, including but not limited to payment inquiries, transaction research, error resolution and general loan account questions
- Review final title policies for accuracy, scan or print into director and delete tickler. If issues, resolve or contact appropriate area for correction
- Manage the loan payoff email group, acting as primary recipient for payoff quotes and processing of payoffs, including payoff issue resolution
- Processing and posting of SWAP payments on a rotational basis
- Monitoring and paying escrow tax payments.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Backup duties as assigned including but not limited to participation payments, non-posted transactions, scanning and indexing of documents, etc.
- Remain informed of changes in bank policies, procedures and products.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of bank loan servicing, loan originating or loan operations experience or a combination of lending and general banking experience of which one year is in loan servicing, loan originating or loan operations
- Knowledge of current lending regulations highly preferred
- Individual must be a self-starter, conscientious, comfortable with detail, able to exhibit professionalism in communication skills, handling confidential information, and must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines
- Position requires accuracy and ability to coordinate and prioritize workday efficiently
- Computer proficiency with MS products required
- Adherence to schedule in a structured work environment
