Job Description
Position: Loan Operations Specialist
The Loan Operations Specialist provides administrative and operational support for the bank’s lending department. This position is responsible for processing loan documentation, maintaining accurate loan records, monitoring compliance requirements, and supporting internal loan workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced banking environment.
BookingLoans
§ Assist with Booking (onboard to Silverlake) of all new and renewed loans, including all extensions and modifications for all loan types.
§ Scanningloandocumentsto Synergy – if necessary
§ VerifyData input
Imaging
§ Responsibleforscanning,indexing,andverifyingrecordsareaccurate.
§ Reviewandfollowuponmissing documents.
§ Implementationofelectronicdocumentprocessing,retrieval,anddistributionsystems as structured by authorized department heads.
§ Consultwithendusersregardingproblemsinaccessingelectroniccontent.
§ Preparematerialsrequestedbyauditorsandregulators
§ MaintainorderlyrecordkeepingoftheBank’sfiles,eitherhardcopyfilesorelectronic files.
Loan Servicing
§ Processpayofftransactions
§ Preparereleasesformortgages,UCCandtitles
§ QuotePayoffs
§ Process loan payments and advance for all loan types. This would also include advances for Mortgage Construction Draw Requests and Participation payments and advances
§ Researchpayments,latecharges,andothermiscellaneous
§ Checksdocumentsforpropervesting,legaldescriptions,closingdatesandsignatures.
Audit/Exam Preparation
§ Work with exam team to gather all requested documentation
§ Ensure loan files are complete, and all exceptions are cleared prior to exam/audit
Miscellaneous
§ Phonecalls-Customers,banks,branches,etc.…
§ Goodunderstandingoffinancialinstitutionproductsandservices.
§ Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
§ Callinginsuranceagentsforinsurancelistedonmissingitems.
§ Researchmissingitemsforallloanofficers.
§ Followorganizationalpoliciesandprocedures.
§ Assistinotherresponsibilitiesasassigned.
§ UnderstandandadheretotheresponsibilitiesassociatedwithBSAandAMLinrelation to job performed.
