Loan Coordinator I

Location: 8320 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO

Work Style: Flex

nbkc isn't your average bank. We take your traditional financial institution and make it better. We are currently looking for a Loan Coordinator I to join our Loan Administration team.

Overview of the position.

This position will work @Flex (a combination of both in the office and at home) based out of our Kansas City, MO office. Check out more details below.

What you'll do

Set up and organize loan files. Establish new loan customers within the Bank's operating systems and ensure adherence with the Bank's internal CIP processes.

Facilitate the application process, request and/or distribute initial disclosures on new loans to ensure compliance with lending regulations.

Interact, both verbally and written, with customers per Loan Officer's direction on the collection of information, documents, and general customer service requests.

Utilize loan reports to manage workflow.

Obtain all pre-closing documentation as needed for (i.e. credit reports, flood certifications, preliminary title reports, UCC searches, proof of insurance, tax receipts, entity documentation, etc.).

Assist in the ordering of loan documents.

Ensure closed loan packages are complete and send for booking.

Verify the recordation of collateral documentation ensuring lien position.

Upload all loan documentation after booking for document retention.

Track and maintain records of declined loan requests to adequately satisfy all compliance issues.

Set up and maintain exception items. Ensure loan file information is kept current and follow up outstanding items.

Construction loan budget, draw, and inspection processing.

Follows all applicable laws and regulations and has a strong knowledge of the Bank's Credit/Loan Policy.

Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

What you'll bring

Bachelor's Degree, or High School diploma required

Minimum of one to three years previous experience working in commercial or consumer banking department

Construction draw and consumer loan processing experience

Knowledge of business banking terminology

Possess an understanding of loan structuring, pricing, and analysis of typical collateral items

Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Professional demeanor, tact/diplomacy

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Flexibility to demonstrate flexibility, versatility in a changing environment to match the priorities of the bank

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the telephone

Strong team player with effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with individuals and groups at all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent customer service skills

Possess analytical and active listening skills

Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail
