Loan Boarding & Funding Specialist
Location: Sacramento, CA
Position Overview
The Loan Boarding & Funding Specialist is responsible for accurately boarding loans into the core system, reviewing loan documentation, and ensuring all funding requirements are completed in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining data integrity, processing funding transactions, and supporting loan servicing operations.
Responsibilities
Board loans into the core system, ensuring accuracy of terms, structure, and data
Validate loan details including rates, payment schedules, maturity dates, and conditions
Set up loan structures such as escrow accounts, interest reserves, participations, and fee arrangements
Review executed loan documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with approved terms
Verify all funding conditions are satisfied prior to disbursement
Process loan funding, advances, payoff disbursements, and wire transactions
Perform callback verifications in accordance with internal controls and dual-control procedures
Ensure adherence to all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and consumer protection standards (including UDAAP guidelines)
Process routine loan maintenance requests, including borrower updates, autopay setup, and statement configurations
Support escrow and insurance administration tasks
Cross-train in servicing functions to assist with operational coverage
Support departmental operations through additional administrative and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan operations, loan documentation, or financial services support
Working knowledge of loan systems and core banking platforms
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Understanding of loan products and processes, including consumer, commercial, and/or mortgage lending
Familiarity with loan documentation and closing processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
Reliability and ability to meet deadlines

Pay Details: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
