Live-In Caregiver – One You Love Homecare
Location: Arnold, Maryland
Start Date: July 1, 2026
Client: 81-year-old male with dementia
Schedule: Live-in position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable live-in caregiver to provide personalized care and companionship for an 81-year-old male client with dementia. The caregiver may be male or female. This role involves providing emotional support, personal care, supervision, and assistance with daily living activities in a family home.
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and supervision
- Assist with personal care, including showering and hygiene
- Help with transfers and mobility
- Remind and assist with medications
- Provide transportation or accompany the client to appointments
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
- Ensure the client’s comfort, safety, and overall well-being
Home Environment:
The client lives with his daughter in a pet-friendly home. Applicants must be comfortable with animals, as the household includes:
- Two large dogs
- Outdoor cat
- Chickens
- Goats
Qualifications:
- Experience with dementia care preferred
- Patient, reliable, and compassionate
- Comfortable providing personal care and companionship
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Able to transport the client to appointments
- Able to maintain a clean and organized living space
- Prior experience in caregiving or home care is a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
