Live-In Caregiver / Personal Assistant
Location: Sylmar, California
Compensation: $300 per day (paid via Zelle)
Schedule: Live-in (with backup coverage available)
Overview:
A private family in Sylmar is seeking a compassionate, experienced Live-In Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide dedicated care for an elderly gentleman. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, and experienced in caring for individuals with dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily assistance with mobility and walking
- Support with activities of daily living, including changing briefs and clothing (morning and evening)
- Prepare simple meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (primarily pre-prepared or easy-to-assemble meals)
- Offer attentive, respectful care tailored to a client with dementia
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the client
- general housekeeping
Additional Household Support:
- Prepare meals for the spouse (no caregiving required for her)
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a caregiver required
- HCA, CNA, or HHA certification preferred
- Strong understanding of dementia care
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
- Kind, patient, and attentive demeanor
Compensation & Benefits:
- $300 per day
