Little Hearts Admissions Coordinator (Part Time)

Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans, founded in 1867, is an independent, Catholic,
college-prep institution for girls offering 17 years of instruction for toddlers through twelfth
grade. Academy of the Sacred Heart is one of 24 schools in the Network of Sacred Heart Schools in
the United States-Canada sponsored by the Religious of the Sacred Heart (RSCJ).

Job Description

The Little Hearts Admissions Coordinator is directly accountable to the Director of Admission.
S(he) works closely with the Director of Admission, Little Hearts Division Head, and school
community to ensure that the spirit and life of the school reflect the Goals and Criteria of Sacred
Heart education. S(he):

Understands, embraces and implements the school's mission and philosophy as written in the
Goals and Criteria; participates in the Christ-centered life of the school; and models the school's
philosophy in working with students, parents, colleagues and administration
Oversees the Little Hearts admissions process from inquiry through application and enrollment,
including preparing files for committee review
Performs Blackbaud responsibilities related to the admissions process, including developing,
monitoring and updating applicant information, and producing decision letters
Works with the Director of Admission to develop and implement strategies to attract and enroll
qualified students
Coordinates Little Hearts admissions events, including private tours, open houses, and
community events (may require evenings or weekends)
Builds and maintains relationships with local schools, daycares, and prospective families
Collaborates with the Little Hearts Division Head and Director of Admission on all aspects of
the admissions process
Provides regular updates to the Admissions Dashboard
Observes applicants in their current preschool settings when applicable
Works with the Director of Communications, Marketing Director, and Director of Admission to
create marketing materials
Organizes admissions materials for tours and events
Assists with data collection and the preparation of annual admissions reports
Attends professional development opportunities as needed
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Admission

Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Blackbaud Education Management or a similar database platform
Experience in education and/or admissions
Ability to deliver superior customer service
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
