Growing Iselin, New Jersey law firm whose practice centers on various aspects of municipal/public entity law and represents clients in Federal and State Courts is seeking a paralegal with 3-5 years experience to join our team and support both our general public entity department and our litigation department.
Skills and responsibilities:
- Drafting and preparing various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court procedures;
- Manage case files, organize evidence, and maintain documentation throughout the litigation process. This includes coordinating the exchange of information during discovery and ensuring all materials are accessible for attorneys;
- Assist with drafting and reviewing of contracts, ordinances, resolutions, policies and procedures;
- Conduct the bates-stamping, redaction, duplication and indexing of documents;
- Under the guidance of an attorney, create production logs, privilege logs, correspondence logs and document logs as needed;
- Proficient understanding of legal concepts, terminology, and legal procedures;
- Strong writing and analytical ability;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Experience e-filing in both state and federal court;
- Works as part of a team and is highly collaborative; and
- Previous litigation experience or background required;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification -preferred.
