Litigation Associate - Multiple Offices

Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in multiple offices for an associate to join its litigation practice. The ideal candidates will have three to five years of experiencein all aspects of litigation. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position .

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice in the State of Florida.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong writing skills.

• Experience with drafting and responding to pleadings, routine motion practice, written discovery as well as taking and defending depositions.

• Confidence in independently handling matters and interacting directly with adversaries and clients.

• Law firm experience or post-graduate clerkship preferred.

• Familiarity with health care litigation and/or construction litigation favored.

• Strong academic record required. Qualifications including law review, moot court, and graduation with honors also strongly considered.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
