The individual in this role will handle a variety of civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and preparing legal research memoranda. Daily responsibilities include communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and courts; assisting with depositions; and supporting partners in case strategy. The Litigation Associate will attend hearings and conferences as needed, collaborate closely with colleagues across practice groups, and maintain organized case files and deadlines. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex disputes in construction‑related and other commercial matters within a supportive and professional environment.QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Indiana.2+ years' of civil litigation experienceExperience drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive motions, discovery motions, and procedural filings.Advanced research skills, including case law, statutory, regulatory, and industry‑specific research using legal research platforms.Experience with depositions, including preparing outlines, assisting with witness preparation, and reviewing transcripts.Familiarity with state and federal courts, including court rules, filing procedures, and hearing or trial practice.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professionalism in client and court interactions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
