Job Details

We are seeking a litigation associate with 2+ years of experience to support a broad civil litigation practice that includes work with public and institutional clients. This role offers meaningful responsibility early, including direct involvement in client matters, strategic case development, and courtroom exposure where appropriate. We handle a mix of matters across forums, giving associates the opportunity to build well-rounded litigation skills while developing experience in complex and nuanced cases.

Responsibilities

Assist in all phases of civil litigation, from initial case assessment through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy memoranda
Participate in depositions, hearings, and other proceedings
Manage discovery, including document review and production
Communicate with clients and contribute to case strategy discussions
Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation planning and execution

Qualifications

2+ years of civil litigation experience
Experience representing governmental, municipal, or institutional clients is a strong plus
Exposure to both state and federal litigation preferred
Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively

Requirements

Active bar admission required
Experience drafting substantive motions and pleadings
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable taking ownership of assignments and interacting with clients
