Position Overview
Delta Hotels by Marriott is seeking a motivated and skilled PM Line/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items following standardized recipes and guest specifications to ensure consistent quality.
- Inspect, select, and use quality food ingredients in all preparations.
- Monitor food storage, rotation, and product conditions to maintain freshness and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, storage, and work areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Ensure food presentation and plating standards meet company expectations.
- Receive and properly store delivered products according to food safety guidelines.
- Assist kitchen management with ordering and inventory tasks.
- Perform routine cleaning duties and maintain safe working conditions.
- Keep floors clean and dry to prevent workplace hazards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding issues or operational needs.
Hours & Availability
This is a full-time position with up to 40 hours per week. Evening (PM) shifts are required in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items when needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work continuously in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions common in kitchen environments.
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stovetops, broilers, and steamers.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Compensation
Pay range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour (including gratuities), depending on experience.
