Smokin’ Jack BBQ’s 3rd Street team is hiring a friendly, dependable Cook who thrives in a fast, guest-facing environment. You’ll prep, cook, and plate our core menu to spec while keeping the line clean, organized, and moving.
Execute line cooking on grill/fryer/flat-top and assemble plates to recipe and portion standards
Prep proteins, sauces, and sides; label/date and rotate product (FIFO)
Keep a clean, food-safe station; follow sanitation and allergen protocols
Communicate clearly with the team; support expo and rush recovery
Help with opening/closing checklists and basic inventory counts
Bring great energy to the line and our guests—be an outgoing team player
Strong, hands-on cooking experience in a high-volume or fast-casual kitchen
Solid knife skills and station organization; comfortable on flat-top, grill, and fryer
Reliability and teamwork—shows up ready to work and support others
Food safety awareness (ServSafe or equivalent a plus)
Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Consistent part-time hours (25–30/week) at $18/hr
