Who you are:
As a Line Cook, you are passionate about food, maintain a positive attitude, are focused on customer satisfaction, with an eagerness to learn which comes with the opportunity to build on your skills and grow as a leader in the BoBo’s kitchen. The ideal candidate is friendly, conscientious, a team player and devoted to becoming an integral member of BoBo’s that values hard work and attention to every detail.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, and portioning of food.
- Maintains and properly uses all kitchen equipment including the griddle, fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers and other kitchen equipment.
- Consistently ensures that prep duties are properly prepared according to cookbook procedures, seasoned and cooked to the standards taught by the kitchen lead within designated completion times.
- Follows operating procedures of all recipes, techniques, and kitchen duties as taught by the kitchen lead.
- Responsible for correct inventory storage, including labeling and dating of preparations along with waste management procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining an organized cooking station and exhibits at least average knife skills with speed and accuracy to maintain a professional line cook's workload.
- Responsible for cleaning your station and assists with the deep cleaning schedule.
- Supports the BoBo’s team whenever needed (employee call-outs, catering, etc.)
- Is knowledgeable of Department of Health standards and uses them as a guide to keep kitchen spaces clean, safe and in accordance with the Board of Health requirements.
What we need from you:
- 1+ years in a Line Cook position in a similar environment
- ServSafe Certificate preferred, but not required
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Be able to lift at least 25 Pounds
- English fluency. Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required.
