Bridgeway is a new kind of healthcare organization providing holistic treatment through addiction recovery, problem gambling treatment, mental health therapy, and primary medical care.


Primary Purpose

The Line Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in a high-volume kitchen environment under the direction of the Culinary Supervisor. This position supports daily meal service while maintaining food quality, safety, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service for clients and staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares and cooks breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards
  • Assists with the coordination and production of daily meal service
  • Maintains adequate inventory levels and communicates supply needs to leadership
  • Verifies incoming food and supply deliveries for quality, quantity, and accuracy
  • Assists with food preparation for special dietary needs and nutritional guidelines
  • Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen and work areas
  • Provides exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and staff
  • Supports food truck operations as needed
  • Maintains compliance with food handling and safety regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience, Education, and Credentials

  • Minimum of three (3) years of culinary experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume kitchen environment with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience preparing meals in accordance with nutritional guidelines preferred
  • Experience working in food truck operations preferred
  • Current food handler permit required
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must be available to work weekends and some holidays as needed

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes and menus
  • Ability to prepare meals for special dietary needs
  • Ability to maintain accurate food production and inventory records
  • Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and professional kitchen environment

Equipment and Tools Used

Commercial kitchen and food preparation equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, mixers, knives, food processors, and other standard culinary equipment
