Job Summary

The Department of Communication & Creative Arts is seeking applications for Limited Term Lecturers (LTLs) in English. LTL positions are temporary, non-benefits eligible, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis.

The Primary Responsibilities of successful candidates will be to:

• Teach on campus and/or online courses in introductory Communications courses; including public speaking
• Follow the syllabus and curricula provided.
• Maintain office hours and provide feedback to students in a timely manner.
• Maintain FERPA and Title X certification
• Assist with program-related duties and administrative tasks, including placement, orientation, proctoring, student evaluations, curriculum and program review
• Understand and adhere to University policies and guidelines
• Have competency in effective and appropriate online (synchronous and asynchronous) delivery and in-person instruction

Education, Experience, Training and/or Certifications

• Master's degree in Communication or a related field (minimum 18 hours of graduate work in Communications)
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience teaching at the college level or relevant professional experience
• Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English

The college is also home to the Willie T. Donald Exoneration Advisory Coalition to support those who have been wrongfully convicted in the state of Indiana.
