Basic Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience programming lighting boards in a production or theater environment
Experience programming ETC Element 2 lighting console
Ability to take direction and work with a team
Formal education not required, but relevant training and experience considered
No heavy lifting will be required. This role will require the person to carry and plug cords several times during the project.

This is a short term assignment to assist the team with installation of studio equipment.
Department/Group Overview:
ABC11 is introducing a state of the art news set in its Durham studio and is looking for a lighting board operator to join our team for the installation.
Job Summary:
The Lighting Board Operator will work together with the Lighting Director and input information for the lighting console programming.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
Assist LD with assigning fixture numbers and LED addresses (in console and on paper)
Work with the LD and WTVD regarding the best way to control groups of fixtures in all studio areas
Assist in the Creation of "Magic Sheets for all studio set areas, and instruct WTVD in their use.
Programming the lighting console, including managing control signal distribution throughout the studio, and relay panels or dimmer racks.
Ability to create DMX fixture profiles in the lighting console as needed.
Assist LD and WTVD on creating color pre-sets and Program LED set lighting per WTVD preference.
Train WTVD on the operation of the console
