Job Description:
- Perform welding tasks in the manufacture of products to conform with specifications and certification requirements
- Weld production and more difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts in various materials including stainless steel.
- Precious and semi-precious metals using various types of welding processes which may include TIG and/or MIG
- May operate program welding machine to weld production units
- Set up fixtures and Client out work for production and prototype piece parts
- Trouble shoot problem welding areas
- May train other welders and/or provide welding support to others as needed
- May work with various internal departments to establish welding process parameters
- Welds must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product
- Participate in continuous improvement processes
- Recommend changes to and participate in the review of manufacturing procedures
- Perform daily organization and cleanup of work area
- Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision
- Perform work of a miscellaneous nature as required
Must Have:
- Three (3) years of related welding experience
- Must obtain and maintain individual welding qualification and certification per product requirements
- Trouble shoot problem welding areas
- Previous experience with TIG and/or MIG
- Welder must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product
