Position Overview

Seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to support daily warehouse and in-plant logistics operations within a regulated cGMP manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory transactions, material movement, storage, and distribution activities while ensuring inventory accuracy, safety, and compliance with company procedures.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, operating material handling equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting production and distribution teams.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Material Handling

  • Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Load, unload, move, transfer, and stage materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Transport materials between departments, facilities, and production floors.
  • Pick, issue, and transact materials for production work orders.
  • Ensure timely receipt, delivery, and shipment of all goods.
  • Accurately count, stage, store, and organize inventory and materials.

Inventory Control

  • Perform physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Complete inventory transactions accurately and promptly using inventory management systems.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by following established inventory control procedures.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies when identified.
  • Support strong inventory management and warehouse organization practices.

Equipment Operation

  • Safely operate warehouse equipment including:
    • Sit-down forklifts
    • Stand-up forklifts
    • Side-loader forklifts
    • Pallet jacks
    • Other material handling equipment
  • Operate equipment safely in narrow aisles and cold storage environments.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Comply with all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of material handling safety requirements.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with established business policies.
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and compliance initiatives.

Team Collaboration

  • Interact professionally with warehouse associates, supervisors, and team leaders.
  • Participate in team meetings, daily huddles, performance reviews, and operational metric discussions.
  • Support cross-functional warehouse operations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new employees as needed.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing, laboratory, and warehouse environment and may involve exposure to:

  • Viral and bacterial hazards
  • Potentially hazardous chemicals
  • Infectious or potentially infectious bodily fluids, tissues, and samples
  • Cold storage environments
  • Narrow warehouse aisles

Candidates must be flexible to support operational needs and project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, shipping & receiving, or material handling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience performing inventory transactions and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to accurately complete shipping, receiving, and material movement activities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, cGMP guidelines, and safety procedures.
