Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Rainsville, AL (100 % onsite)
Duration: 12-month contract
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour on W2
Shift: 1st Shift 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (Overtime Required)

Job Description:
  • The Material Handler I will supply lines with raw materials and move unfinished good through the manufacturing process utilizing a forklift.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures to include proper use of required PPE.
  • Operate a stand up and LP forklift safely.
  • Supply raw materials where needed in the production process.
  • Maintain kit carts where applicable.
  • Facilitate movement of product through the production process.
  • Adhere to receiving procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of parts and home locations.
  • Manage and consolidate inventory in stockroom and other areas as directed.
  • Participate in physical inventory activities.
  • Utilize lift assistance to handle products weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Meet established efficiency and productivity standards.
  • Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
  • Additional or updated duties as business demands change.

Must Have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • prior Warehouse environment experience.
  • Prior experience working as a material handler.
  • Manually handling up to 50 pounds often by lift/push/pull.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching occasionally
  • Workers must wear and provide their own safety toe shoes.
