We are seeking Fabrication Specialists to support a large aerospace manufacturing and assembly program in New Orleans, LA. This role is hands-on and involves fabrication, welding, electrical and mechanical assembly, and installation work on complex aerospace systems. Training will be provided onsite for project-specific requirements.
Successful completion of required training (OJT or formal classroom) is mandatory for assignment continuation.
Perform machine setup, machining, and welding setup and execution
Conduct sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, tube bending, and composite Client-up
Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components
Install and assemble wire harnesses, avionics, and electrical systems
Perform soldering on electronic and avionics components
Assemble, repair, modify, and install power plants and drive trains
Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices
Apply organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance
Read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
Support fabrication and assembly tasks across multiple onsite work areas
Contractors will support the installation of electrical and mechanical components on a large aerospace vehicle. Work may rotate across various areas of the New Orleans facility based on program needs. Project-specific training will be provided once onsite.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of welding experience
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprint drawings
Comfortable working at heights and using JLG lift equipment
Physically able to stand, bend, and perform hands-on fabrication tasks
NASA safety-sensitive position
NASA badge required (badging facilitated post-start)
No security clearance required
No routine travel required
Occasional voluntary overtime may be available
