Position Summary
The Lifeguard- Seasonal is temporary (seasonal) position and responsible for providing supervision and instruction of various age groups in swimming and diving activities and for the safety of patrons in the swimming area. Supervision is received from a Pool Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum 18 years of age; minimum six months related experience • Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard certification including First Aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer • Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification • Reliable method of transportation • Professional attitude and behavior; responsible and mature • Excellent verbal communication skills; management skills and swimming skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Duties involve continuous bending; lifting; sitting; standing; carrying or walking; using force equal to lifting; tilting and pushing over 100 pounds.
