The role involves maintaining activity supplies, training staff, and transporting residents to appointments and outings. The coordinator must have a high school diploma, relevant experience with seniors, strong interpersonal skills, and a valid driver’s license. A Dementia Practitioner Certification is required within 90 days.
Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., working indoors and outdoors, and frequent bending or reaching. The position requires flexibility to work beyond normal hours, including weekends and evenings, in an independent and assisted living community setting.
