Position Overview As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents by creating meaningful experiences through arts, crafts, social activities, special events, and off-campus outings. Your creativity, compassion, and energy will help foster joy, connection, and engagement.
Status: Part-Time Schedule: Various shifts, including weekend and evening hours.
Key Responsibilities
Organize and assist with group and individual resident activities Prepare and clean activity spaces Engage residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities Communicate changes in resident condition to the Life Enrichment Director Assist in developing monthly activity calendars based on resident interests Monitor attendance and transport residents to activities Facilitate resident participation and conduct satisfaction audits Coordinate special events with the Life Enrichment Director
Qualifications
High School Diploma required; training or degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a health-related field preferred Genuine interest in working with older adults, short-term rehab residents, and individuals with physical or psychological challenges Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organization, time management, and teamwork abilities
