Summary/Objective The LVN Inpatient Coordinator provides a variety of patient care activities for a designated patient caseload, while supporting the provider(s) in facilitating patient care to enhance the quality of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Reviews daily assigned Physician(s) procedure schedule and hospital rounds report to ensure all appropriate information is available for the assigned Physician(s).

Responsible for providing assistance to the physician with examinations, procedures, and patient education, as well as performing other patient care activities as assigned.

Actively monitors and documents information pertinent to care coordination and the progress of patients to ensure all assigned patients are seen timely.

Performs nursing skills effectively according to established standards of care, as well as demonstrates interpersonal competencies such as problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management.

Interacts with physician practices, pharmacies, and drug reps while maintaining a professional level of conduct at all times.

Participates in in-service programs and other self-directed learning activities to promote practice, as well as actively participates in performance improvement activities.

Required Education and Experience Associate Degree 1-3 years of related experience

Required License/Certifications Current LVN license in the State of Texas
