Job Summary
Under the direction of the District Registered Nurse, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will monitor the health and welfare of students and support the educational process with specific responsibilities for providing health care services, administering first aid and dispensing prescribed medications. Under the direction of the district nurse, incorporating health care plans directed by physicians; providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and injured students; identifying health problems for referral for proper treatment, as directed by the district nurse; and maintaining health records and other health files.
