The Children’s Counseling Center of Fredericksburg is seeking a licensed therapist to join our growing team. This role is focused on providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and adolescents, with expanding services to include family and marriage counseling.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled clinician with experience in pediatric trauma, family systems, and/or EMDR therapy. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children while also supporting families as a whole unit.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents
Conduct family and/or marriage counseling sessions
Utilize evidence-based approaches, including trauma-informed care and EMDR (preferred)
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with providers and staff as part of an integrated care team
Support a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
Qualifications
Active licensure in the state of Virginia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
Experience in pediatric trauma strongly preferred
Training or certification in EMDR highly preferred, but not required
Experience in family or marriage counseling preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
