Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)

• The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to ensure complete and timely services to patients 
• Possession of critical thinking skills necessary for patient assessment and care

• Strong understanding of HIPAA and adherence to confidentiality regulations
• An ability to recognize needs and the initiative to fill them

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Direct patient care under the supervision of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
• Assisting providers in developing, implementing, and evaluating plans of care
• Rooming patients, obtaining and documenting patients' medical history, signs and symptoms, reconciling medication lists, and obtaining accurate vital signs
• Administering point-of-care tests (EKG, PT/INR, collection of specimens, etc.)
• Administering vaccines, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections
• Provide patient/caregiver education on home care practices, health management, and medication administration.
• Completing prior authorizations and referrals, and scheduling outpatient procedures. 
• Completing thorough and accurate documentation of all patient-related interactions.
• Planning, organizing, and prioritizing responsibilities to ensure complete and timely services to patients
• Utilize proper channels of communication to express concerns or conflicts in a constructive manner, offering input into problem resolution
