LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE-MAT PROGRAM

The Greenville County Department of Public Safety is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care services and treatment to the inmate population with SUD/OUD requiring MAT and/or withdrawal care within the appropriate scope of practice. This LPN will participate as a member of a treatment team consisting of a Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Addiction Counselors, a Social Worker, a Community Paramedic, and Registered Nurses. The Greenville County Detention Center includes a medical clinic with 3 exam rooms, a non-dispensing pharmacy on-site, a dental suite to include dental radiology on site, but most labs are drawn at the facility and sent to Prisma Health for testing and then resulted electronically into our EHR. Health Services staff includes a Medical Director, a Psychiatrist, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Paramedics, Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Medication Technicians. Mental Health staff includes a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Licensed Professional Counselors. Greenville County Detention Center also contracts with Prisma Health for Resident Services and provides many in-house specialty clinics. Licensure is required at the appropriate level (LPN), BLS required. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required along with licensure noted above. Nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required. Additional compensation is available for experience.
