A New York City health services network is seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Urology Department at one of its ambulatory care facilities in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am to 5pm (35-hour weeks; 1-hour unpaid lunch)
Setting: Urology Department
Responsibilities:
Completing patient intake and mixing medications
Answering nursing phones and scheduling follow-up appointments
Taking vital signs and assisting with procedures
Using EMR systems and performing patient care-related tasks
Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment
Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
2 years of Nursing experience
Graduation from an approved Practical Nursing program
NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Solid assessment and documentation skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Desired Qualifications:
1 year of experience working within an Ambulatory Health facility
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Bilingual
BCLS certification
EKG certification
Knowledge of Next Generation software
